There are feww absolutes in this world. My mom had 3 kids, one special needs, when my dad married her. She was a 25-year-old widow. My dad was very popular as a single man, but he was looking for the right type of woman. That was my mom. Of course, this was in 1960.

Fast forward to my life, I am divorced with 2 kids who live with me. The woman I ended up marrying first words to me were "you have kids? Get the F away from me" That was Ok because I only met her because she was with the girl I thought I was gonna marry (I was pretty smitten). Her friend broke it off with me to get back together with her ex, though we remained friends. My wife now tells people she remembers thinking "Why is she breaking up with him, he is such a nice guy". We've been married 33 years now.

All of that to say the number is only relevant if you make it so; it's more about the character of the person and understanding what you would be taking on.

One teenager as long as it’s a decent kid. If you’re a good man you’ll leave lasting positive impressions with em. Our kids need more of it these days. I’ve done it with two different women.

That attitude is what would be an auto no. Im not taking care of anybody. We wouldn't be getting married, so she would still have to take care of herself and her kids.

I am not raising someone else’s kid

It doesn't always work out like that though. My step-kids' father lives 10 minutes away and had them 50% of the time. They're perfectly behaved honor students who never gave me a bit of trouble. In fact, even though Mrs. Tantal passed, my oldest step son (19) still lives with me until he leaves for TAMU in January. He has a great relationship with his dad. It's just a matter of space. My other step son (14) was out running around with his friends a few minutes ago and stopped by to get a water bottle. They still have keys to my house and are welcome here anytime. My point is that I was good to them, but I didn't have to "raise" them per se.

It depends on the situation, a widow VS a life of bad choices are completely different.

Age can add different perspectives as well. The older I am the less willing I am to deal with drama. If the woman or her kids would import drama into my life, Hell Naw. She could be rich, an OT 10 or whatever. No dice. Yet I know a couple of guys who have gone headlong into it over a pretty face.

Beauty fades. Bitch is forever.

Under rated comment.

Dating a single mom means, most likely, she will be in regular contact/communication with the ex.

You need to know if hes the kind of guy to be waiting around parking lots with a steel pipe.

Actually, it has happened in the history of pregnancies.

I’ll hunt for a link.

LINK

“Heteropaternal superfecundation is an extremely rare phenomenon that occurs when a second ova released during the same menstrual cycle is additionally fertilized by the sperm cells of a different man in separate sexual intercourse.”

Just understand you will NEVER be her first priority or love. That will go to a child that isn't yours. That will only end in suffering to the man in the relationship over time.

There are plenty of dudes out there that don’t gaf about that. They’re just looking for some trim to plow.

Oh and when are we gonna do the same thread except for single dads?
