My second just started daycare and I’m at $230 a week per kid so, $11,960 a year per, $23,920 total.

In our minds it’s very important to send our kids to catholic schools as I want them to have that religious foundation at home and at school. I also want them to be in a good school and to be surrounded by, on average, higher achieving peers.

Me and my wife make great money but I’m getting quite concerned or nervous about what life will be like if God blesses us with another child or another two or three.

We practice NFP, Marquette method currently, but I was just wondering if anyone else has been through this and if they had any perspective or guidance.

I guess my perfect dream would be to make a ton of money and have as many kids as God provides.

None. Stay at home mom and public schooling for my kids.

But I don’t live in Louisiana.

We had two kids in pre-k in NYC. $45k. We moved out of NY to a town that has the top public school system in the state. NY private school would have been $50k per kid

We did Catholic school for 8 years including day care for two years - now we homeschool - my whole salary went to Catholic school/day care basically breaking even and I was having to teach the kids myself for their homework anyway

My oldest is at lsu now, and I still homeschool the other 5.

4 and they are grown and doing very well. Our retirement was not maxed out though so we will have it a little tougher in the end. We regret nothing.

2 have completed highschool.

15 years each of private school from pre-K through high school.

3rd child is the same but currently a freshman in high school

Combined, as of this date, I've paid for 42 years worth of private schools.

On the plus side, I've not had to pay for college so far.

It’s not that bad - it’s actually a lot easier than dealing with all of the school crap

I remember my NFP class pre marriage. The teacher had 5 kids. Wife decided to stick with the pill.

2 daycare, 0 private school. Both went to college and post graduate studies. College was the toughest time financially for us.

Have 2 in catholic school. They started when they were 8 & 10 weeks, and will go to catholic schools through HS. We are going the Catholic school route for the same reasons as you, but also because the public school system in LA is shite.

Yea, make sure your pull-out game is on point
