How many hours should I get to the Kenna airport before takeoff brah?

Do I need to be more than two hours early? I’ve never flown out of Louis Armstrong but will be doing so for the first time on Friday unfortunately

Flew out Monday morning. Was a bit of a disaster. Employees of the airport were trying to sign people up for CLEAR and once they did they skipped to the front of the line.
That caused the tsa pre check line to get longer thus getting more people into the clear lane. Was dumb and there should’ve been a separate check in for the CLEAR folks.
A decent amount of people missed their flight. I’d arrive about an hour and a half early if they do that shite again.

I’ve had a great time the several times I’ve flown out of MSY. I’ve never actually got through security faster in my life than a few weeks ago at MSY.

Hour and a half to be safe. Security was fast when I flew last week but you never know. Be aware that Google maps may bring you to the old parking garage if you aren't careful. It's cheaper to park but you have to take the shuttle to the terminal which adds about 15 minutes to your process. You can avoid that if you park in the long or short term garage

Depends on day/time
Monday morning is busy. But 1.5 hrs ahead still had plenty of time in departure lounge. Mid week 1 hr should be fine

How is it as a connecting airport? I'm looking at flights and one of the cheaper ones out of Vegas includes a plane change at MSY. I'm not keen on a Denver plane change in the middle of January (even though it's cheaper.)

If you have not checked your bags 45 minutes before takeoff you can not check them. Experienced that a few weeks ago after the fricked up fires on I 10
