I’m not embarrassed whatsoever

I like our small city.

I like New Orleans

But it’s more comparable to a city of its size than Houston or Dallas or Austin

Houston is a better place to live than NOLA if you prefer to not be murdered.

Houston isn’t a fun place to visit but it’s a great place to live. Plenty to do here all the time.

That was Dallas....which blows both of those mosquito swarming cockroach infested half underwater shitholes away.

To be honest, if there was some way to incorporate Orleans and Jefferson into one Parish//City this state would be much better off.

It would do away with so much corruption and make New Orleans population well over 1mm.

People that talk so highly about Dallas are poorly traveled

I’ve lived in both and my vote is for Houston. Living and working within the loop is awesome.

If we’re talking about things outside of New Orleans’ control, the suburbs never really amounted to shite like those outside of Houston, Atlanta, or Charlotte.

I’m not convinced of this. Jefferson is so goofily corrupt in its own way.

Dude I was working in dc but I moved back to NOLA because nothing ever felt like home. My salary has stagnated at like 110k. In DC I'd be making 150 for this job 100 percent. Do I give a frick? Nah. I love living in Louisiana and New Orleans. The best place in America period in terms of people and food. Plus everyone loves my Tigers, Saints and Pelicans. Besides family what does a man need?

Houston can't be better than DC so there is my answer.

If you struggle to get good pay in Nola (totally understand job market is bad) then sure... But lifestyle wise I love nola. Am I a nut?
