This is what I’m learning from this site. Sounds like the company got a little to big for its britches and started assembling the systems with cheap parts. What the next best natural gas powered whole home generator?

I’ll be in the market in a few years

I think I’ll buy a couple of gas stations and charge $6 per gallon.

I have my light plant set up to run on Natrual Gas and feed it through my breaker box. When shite settles down I'm buying at least a 10k and will set it up to run on Nat Gas. I dont want to have to turn shite off to be able to do certain things (wash clothes). I'm running all my lights and fans, 2 window units, a kitchen ice box, a porch ice box, and 2 deep freezers.

I have a 20KW Cummings, running the typical whole house load with single 4 ton AC unit in June cost $1.58 per hour to run at the price of NG at the time.

and a full vehicle. you can siphon out of it?

Good question , every vehicle made in the last 20 years, or more has baffles in the tank filler tube making it nearly impossible to get a hose down to siphon gas.

Unhook the fuel line at the fuel filter or other accessible spot. Turn on key but don’t start the engine. Fuel pump tries to pressure up your fuel rails for startup. Enjoy the flow of gas with no siphoning.

We lost power 5 days. 5 days in a hotel is cheaper than a generator, a window unit, and however many gas cans. I don't have to store anything and a small unplanned trip was not nearly as stressful as gas lines and heat.

I sure did. I don’t like taking cold showers it’s too bad you don’t understand how electricity works. I do. I spent 34 years of my life working with electricity. I’m retired now but I do have a brain and remember how it works ??

Don’t forget any food you had to throw out and replace.

Besides - I had no power for 4 days. It cost me about $25-30/day in gasoline.

There’s no way it’s cheaper to stay in a hotel.

Plus cost of generator. Window AC. The pain in arse of going wait in line for gas and dealing with generator
