How many gallons of gas are you going to store for the next storm?

I had 22 for this past storm, technically would have lasted what i needed. But next storm, i may be upping my usage a bit, i bought 2 5 gallons cans extra already. Getting 2 more cans would put me at 42 gallons going into a next storm event prep. I will make sure i have my lawnmower filled up next time too so that i can cut grass once or twice when i have nothing else to do and not worry about using gas needed.

Won't store anything. If we lose power, we will be long gone to our ranch 6 hours from the coast until power comes back on. That's what we do every time.

same as always. 25 in cans, 8 in the 10kw generator, and 100 in the boat that is easily siphoned out with the extra hose I set up from the water separator. so 133 gallons+-. Run generator about 12 hours a day keeping house cool and everything froze. burns around 8 gallons a day doing that. Can go 15-16 days roughly like that and be very comfortable.

Only what I need so there is enough for the bloke behind me to take more than what he needs.

probably going to convert my portable generator to propane. I had 30 gallons in cans, generator full and 20 gallons in my boat. burned through that in no time. At least with propane I can get a couple 25 gallon propane tanks and be good to go. (I didn't have a problem getting propane at all for my gas grill)

Either this or I am going to break down and get a whole home unit and put a big tank in my back yard.

Don’t forget the TP for those bungholes.

3-4 of the 5 gallon cans and a full vehicle. I can understand those closer to the coast having 40-50 gallons in all honesty.

I had 100 gallons and never had to worry about gas shortages or waiting in line.

I’m at 65 gallons and counting, but i only keep 5-5 gallon cans with usually only 2 or 3 full. I did go into ida with 25 gallons in cans and 6 in the 5500w generator. But we’ve doubled that and if power doesn’t come back on today I’ll need to get gas when I get home from work.
