How many "first name last name" photography companies are out there now?

It seems like every day, someone buys a basic level camera and starts one of these companies. They start a company Facebook page where they showcase their average photos that they took on Auto mode.

Everybody without talent is a photographer now.
There are some great photographers, for sure, but also a lot of useless people who bought cameras.

Mostly all of the military wives I know are "professional photographers". They do this. Or put their first name and then add "lifestyle" after their name.

She's actually talented though. I used to know her well but lets just say she doesn't care for me anymore. Not a bad looking gal either....A bit strange, though...

What if some of those people are just trying to write off the expense of buying nice equipment and maybe some travel expenses for some of their kids youth sports. Sounds like a pretty solid business model and can actually lose money for a period of time and still claim the expenses on their income tax. Heck, they may make a few extra bucks too.
Of course, I’m sure not everyone can be self motivated and work for something like that.

Right - until someone lifts the image, peddles it to an ad agency and starts getting royalties on a photo YOU took !
Just ask a copyright attorney how often this can happen.
