How many chances would you give your spouse if they cheated?

Let’s say you found out your SO slept with the opposite sex, you confronted them and they told you it was a mistake, and he/she was still madly in love with you?
My girlfriends sister’s husband has cheated on her twice, she is the breadwinner and she is giving him a third chance. I personally would break it off after one incident, once a cheater always a cheater. Do people make a mistake just once?

Take it as an opportunity to slay some strange.

Once they cheat and you accept them back, they will continue to do it and expect forgiveness. Best to cut ties and move on. Go crush bro, you deserve it

Break the chain, feel the pain.

If you cheat once, you will do it again, or you have done it before. Better to leave then than bigger collateral damage down the road.

Possibly, but unless these two never really trusted each other in the first place, then the relationship will NEVER be the same again.

ETA- I’d be gone after the first time.

To find out my wife was interested in sex without my having to bring it up seems Greek to me.
