re: How many alcoholic beverages do you consume per week?

On average, I drink about 2 or 3 glasses of wine and maybe 5 or 6 beers a year. Soooo, less than 1 drink a month.

On average not much. A lot less than I used to drink. Last week I had 4 I think. Before that it had been a few weeks since I had even had 1. I stopped hanging out with an old friend who had been trending towards full blown alcoholic for a while and since then I haven't been going out of my way for it. Having a drink at the end of the day to wind down isn't appealing to me. It makes my mind foggy and prevents me from enjoying other hobbies.

It varies quite a bit. I like beer, mixed drinks, and wine. I rarely drink during the week but usually have a weekend night or two with a few drinks.
I would say that my median is about 7/week but that the average would be higher due to the events (such as LSU games) that may reach 15 in a single day/night.

W.C. Fields once opined, I feel sorry for the man who doesn't partake in spirits as he knows when he awakens in the morning it is the best he will feel that day

4-6 double scotches a night; 3, 4, sometimes 5 nights a week.
On occasion I'll really get on a bender and drink my 6+ doubles and have a number of shots as well. I don't plan for it, I'm just at the bar and it is sometimes difficult to stop once I really get going.
I've told myself many times that I need to back off... sometimes I go a week or so without drinking, but I always return to the bar.
Is this a problem? I think so. At least to a degree-
I have never gotten a DUI,
never wrecked my car,
never missed the rent or electric bill because of the money I spent on drinking,
I do well in class,
never missed work because of being hungover,
I'm not in debt because of it,
I don't get into bar fights,
I'm not an angry or destructive drunk,
I don't wake up wanting a drink and I don't drink during the day.
I don't really find myself wanting the drink or the drunk state itself, I think I drink out of boredom more than any other reason.
I will admit that drinking has affected my diet and workouts. I've also spent an insane amount of money (10s of thousands) on alcohol and alcohol related activities (like the strip club - which I'd never do sober). So there's that.
But do I drink too much? Let's say that I'd very much like to drink a lot less, but I don't really know how to do that.

2-3 mixed drinks per night weekdays. More on the weekends

In all honesty it's probably like 30 beers and 15 mixed drinks/neat liquor in a week.
this is me...I'm probably already on about 15 for the week and about a quarter of bottle of whiskey. Probably drink it a little more than half this weekend and another 15 - 20 beers

2-3 a day during the week
4-6ish a day on weekends
so 20 - 30 per week.
I told the nurse during a questionnaire. She said she was just going to say a dozen so the doctor doesn't get alarmed.

About a pint a day of bourbon/coke. Not too bad..

I'm a binge drinker, not an alcoholic. I can go a long time without drinking and be fine. But if and when I drink (especially whiskey), stopping or slowing down is nearly impossible. I always say it like this, "I don't have a drinking problem. I'm a problem drinker."

1-2 Mixed drinks a day. More on the weekends. Then again I go days without drinks also.

50ish beers maybe 6-8 titos is a good week of hunting and watching football. If a party is going on its not healthy.
But that's only during football season. Come Mardi Gras I stop 90% ..gotta get beach ready lol

A case of beer can either last me 3-4 days or 2-3 weeks depending on the season. I'll usually drink 1-2 mixed drinks at the start of a football game then switch off to beer. I may have 2, or I may have 6. More than likely it is just 2 but sometimes I end up watching the late games and have a beer in each quarter or half.
Rarely during the week. Last time I had a drink was Saturday during the Iron Bowl, and I had one beer last night while fixing dinner. I probably won't have any more until Saturday afternoon.
