That entire area has terrible tap water. I had never seen such a thing before.
Runner up to Flint for worst water. Pretty sure Erin Brockovich has been there to talk about it.

It's been ten years since I've been out there. The first time I noticed it was in the hotel toilet. I thought, frick housekeeping can't even look to flush.
To my surprise from that first bathroom to every tap water source that I saw there for the month that I was there was that same light dirty brown color. It felt dirty to even take a shower it.
Is it even legal to serve and cook with brown water there? Do restaurants use sort of extra filtration to make the water look normal? If restaurants add extra filtration, why isn't it done at the municipal level.
I just never could imagine water coming out of the sink looking like straight Mississippi River water.

Monroe vs West Monroe is my 3rd favorite cripple battle.

#2 is Louisiana vs Mississippi

We have city water. I quit using bottled water for everything because our tap water is clear. If you’re in the parish different story. West Monroe water is fine here in the city limits.

Greenville Ms has brown water too. Something to do with tannic acid in the groundwater

Better than the yellow water that comes out of the faucet in Mexico.

Because it's really bourbon.

Just another facet (har) of how Funroe earns it’s name every day.

Awhile because I've lived here 6 years. More yellow than brown

The fact that West Monroe and Monroe people will do anything for a reason to call the other town a shithole always amuses me
Turns out they’re both right
