Need a lot of cash in the banks to support the stimulus program & doubt that much has been in a warehouse some place :-)
Edit: consensus is 10% of the money is cash, so how long will it take to print $ 200B? Politician have thrown the term billion around so much we take it for granted. Of you wanted to pay back a billion dollar loan at the rate of $1 per second, it would take 33,641 years. How old is America? :-)

They could print one 2T dollar bill. Would probably be a coin though.

I believe that is more than the entire physical money supply (or maybe right at the same). Most of our money supply that is used is completely digitized.

Not long if you choose the right denomination:

I wonder how much of it is actually printed vs digitally transferred to a banks accounts. I mean does bank of America or whoever really have literally all of the money people have deposited to them sitting in vaults across the US? Or only something like 10%?

Chinese could probably print $2T of that "yang money" in a couple hours...

Physical currency is generally about 10% of the “money” in circulation. Most of it is just a ledger entry. They probably aren’t printing much, if anything.

10% is literally the requirement under fractional reserve banking.
If everyone across the country tried to cash out their bank accounts, the entire system would collapse.

Smart. That way you don't have to worry about somebody leaving it in their pocket and running through the washing machine by mistake.
You do have to pay attention and make sure you don't mix it up in your car's change dish and accidentally hand it out when passing through the drive thru, though.

Fact: it takes 31,000+ years to count to one trllion.
Not even industrial high-tech printing could print that much in generations upon generations, much less printing 2 trillion in a month.
It was explained to me that the "money multiplier" accounts for much of the money exchanged. There's not that much printed money actually in circulation or even close to it.

Still has to be printed/minted.
They’re making a $2T coin IIRC.
