Why are you here? OP was about Doctors.
Anyway, if you had read, I was nice to the young lady as it wasn't her fault and even told her I was't mad.
I was just wondering what most people do. Do they take being taken advantage of or do they walk out?

Can't really do that if your kid wakes up sick and needs to go that day.
Urgent care/walk-in clinics are much better than traditional doctor's offices in those situations.
Absolutely. I never see the pediatrician when one of my kids is sick. Always an urgent care clinic like Central Stat Care, or ER if it's serious.

Our pediatrician
We go to Giarrusso on Sullivan at Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and never wait that long. Do you go in Central or somewhere else?

Not only this shite, but in social circles they will introduce themselves as Dr so and so. That's when I introduce myself as "Mr Boudreaux". They think you gotta be in awe cause they're an MD.

Ours is part of the OLOL physician group. He was my pediatrician 30 years ago. He was on O'Neal until recently moving to the pediatric clinic on Goodwood. I haven't been to that location yet, but my wife has and she said it's no worse of an ordeal than it has been. The wait time was getting ridiculous at O'Neal unless you went first thing in the morning, because the other pediatrician in the office moved and I think he ended up taking more referrals than he could handle. He spends a lot of time with patients/parents. I don't plan to switch though. Smart, no-nonsense guy who, in the first month of both my kids' lives, caught potentially serious conditions that commonly go undiagnosed for months or years.
But nowadays we use him for checkups, vaccines, and albuterol refills. Central Stat Care for everything else. Hell, I don't even have a regular physician. Central Stat Care is awesome, and they charge an office visit copay rather than specialist/urgent care.

I try and schedule my doctor appointments at times that will either minimize the chances of the doctor being tied up with another patient, or at times when the wait will not cost me time when I could be doing something much more productive. Even then I take things with me to the doctor's office that allow me to be productive should I have to wait. I don't rely on the doctor having some reading material I might find entertaining.

I've always waited about an hour at any given doctors office.

Reading that, some things are clear:
1. Nurses cannot replace doctors. So don't schedule an appointment with a nurse if they need a doctor's help.
2. Space out appointments more - 1 every 30 minutes at best like most professional services.
3. Don't make an appointment time of 8:30 if the patient really needs to be there for 8:15 for paperwork. Make the appointment for 8:!5 with 15 minutes for paperwork. Better yet, send that patient the paperwork ahead of time so they can simply bring it with them already filled out. This makes the most sense. If the patient does not have the paperwork ready by, say, 15 minutes after their appointment time, they lose their place in line and have to reschedule.
This makes the most sense to me.

problem is that so many doctors are not good at business, efficiency, time management, etc.
i am a proponent of putting doctors' offices in high traffic areas like shopping areas and giving one of those buzzers when doctor is ready to see you.
how many dudes would hit the clinic if at a bass pro?

I ALWAYS schedule my dr's appts at 430pm. I know that I won't have to wait long as I know that they want to get their asses out of there at 5

This is why we don't take appointments. Everyone is walk-in (Family Practice). That way the people who are late to their appointments or get inter room and want 15 things treated and have a ton of paperwork they need filled out for their job or insurance, don't make the rest of the day backed up. We open at 8am and take our last client at 5:30pm, we don't close for lunch and we are open 6 days a week. Avg wait time 5-10 min before being taken back walk-in unless there is a surgical procedure walk-in unexpected
