My wife has never taken BC.
She got pregnant the first time every time we tried, but she charted for a while before we started so we knew when she was ovulating. It took a few to get that first child, though, unfortunately.
Be patient, and don't tell the world once it takes.

About a month but she miscarried unfortunately. Currently expecting again so all is well now! This one will be #2.

Gonna be different for every woman.
I didn't find out until after I got off birth control that I have a medical problem that makes getting naturally pregnant very difficult(a condition that would make a woman of ANY AGE have problems getting pregnant before someone points out "well you are old, what do you expect"). Had been on the pill for several years and was assured by my doctor at each annual visit that I was totally healthy and would have no problem getting pregnant. The pill had masked the symptoms of my medical condition.
Not trying to scare you, just letting you know .....it is different for every woman.
