Depends what I'm doing...I try not to leave the house with less than a 50% charge.
Right now I'm in for the night and it's on 13% and I'll probably let it run until it gets to 2% or I go to bed.

I was told it messed up the battery if you constantly charge it. So now I let it run dead unless it can't make it through the night and be my alarm.
I don't know how it really affects lithium batteries.
I know old batteries wouldn't work as well if you constantly charged them. I think lithium batteries have a certain number of charges or something but it's probably not something you would ever have to worry about. Although my phone does tell me to disconnect my charger once it's fully charged.

I like a good rush every once in a while.
Although my stomach is in my throat right now. Im on low power mode, creeping along.

I did not even know there were people that did not charge them overnight. Lol.
It pisses me off that I have to charge mine every night now, and sometimes midday too.
This HTC is a pos. My Samsung I had before would go at least two days on a charge, and that lasted about two years. This htc isn't even 6 months old.
I think it's ridiculous my phone cant last more than 12 hours. I don't even have apps on it, and rarely use the internet.

Okay. The screen shot you posted of my OP with 4% got me good. First I could not understand why you had so many down votes. So I tried to Upvote you and it did not work. Then I kept hitting reply and it did not work either. So I tried on the post below it. Fail again. I finally realized I was trying to respond by clicking on the screenshot.

I don't worry about such matters. That is for my mom to handle.

I got a new phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 5) in February. Aside from a night where I never went home and then stayed out the next night, I haven't even had this thing get below 35% and I use the internet quite a bit. It's a champ. So far at least.
I like to keep it charged while asleep and while at work, though.

I'm still rocking Pandora through the ear buds when I'm in single digits. No fricks given. When it dies I'll plug it in for a few.

50% because my Samsung starts steadily losing charge after 50%

This is like asking how long do you wait to fill up on gas. I always go til the gas light comes on. My pawpaw would cringe going past a quarter of a tank.
