How likely is the act of organized violence at the Rio Olympic Games?

We have already learned that the Rio law enforcement community is rather weak. There seems to be a new tragedy each week where innocents are preyed upon.

I'm not sure I would take my family there.

Eta title.

Would it be in poor taste to have a countdown calendar and ask for a sticky?

Unfortunately, I think more likely than not. It's a sad reality.

I'm curious if they ever consider that maybe they shouldn't bring terror on every continent? Europe, Russia, and the USA are one thing because we are all actively hitting them back in their homeland. Yeah maybe the police are pretty bad in Brazil, but shite that's still not a place I'd want to have to escape from. Heck they cut a guys heads and limbs off at a soccer game.

I don't understand how they know this and don't completely wipe it out

because they aren't bothered by them and are likely getting paid more Rias from A-Q to leave them alone than by other countries to eradicate them

Reminds of the joke that a tornado hit (insert place you want to make fun of) and did 2 million dollars worth of improvements.

Well are you also surprised that we have several in Texas and we do not go wipe it out? It does not fit the liberal agenda. Remember - the peaceful religion

Read an article today that discussed this. Writer was making the point that the threat of terrorism is way higher than zika or pollution.

LINK

quote:

There have been threats against the Games already. As we’ve seen in attacks across the world, it only takes one person with a gun, bomb or truck to cause enormous loss of life. And the people attempting to inspire terrorism in Brazil are aiming their overtures at lone wolf attackers. I don’t have a lot of faith in the ability of those whose job it is to secure these games. Brazil is inexperienced in dealing with terrorism threats. And it hasn’t exactly inspired a lot of confidence. First, we were told the private security firm in charge of securing venues couldn’t identify guns or bombs. Then, that firm was replaced with Brazilian police forces with just a few days before the Games. Then I remembered that these were the same Brazilian police who publicly complained about how they haven’t been paid. My fears have not been helped by the fact that it’s reportedly possible to get into Olympic areas without passing through any sort of security checkpoint. The people in charge of the Olympics should know that they’re a target. Terrorists have targeted Olympic games since before we called them terrorists. They should have known better than to put the Olympics in a place where security might be an issue.

That's the only reason why I'm watching - just to see what will happen. I don't hold much faith in Brazilian security forces.

Are you actually trying to say that there are AQ training camps active in Texas? Do give some details.
