How lame is it to move your parents in with you?

Say you're a divorced guy with kids that live across the state, that visit twice a month and your house is still way too big. Your parents are 75+ and you will eventually have to take care of them anyways. Should you go ahead and move them in with you?

Are you sure you're not the one moving in with your parents?

What is lame about being a good child?
It isn't easy, but neither was raising you.

Imo the fact that we dump our elderly parents in a shitty nursing home out of convenience is one of the worst phenomenon of modern society.

Seems like a good way to pay the mortgage and take care of the house.

The only thing lame in your scenario is being divorced and seeing your kids a piddly twice a month. Grow the frick up.

My dad will probably eventually have to move in with us. He's single and will never get married again so we will be the default landing spot when he can no longer take care of himself.
My mom can go to my sister's. She would drive me batshit insane if she lived with us

Pops and his wife will do what they want to do, as they can afford it. I'll take them in whenever things get to be too much.
Mama, though? As soon as she stops working (probably 5-7 years), I'm building her a small house so she can watch the kids, play with dogs, and have a little garden.
