Not really, It has been unseasonably mild in most of the country while excessive heat in the deep south due to a high pressure that has parked over it.

I’ve been checking out temps down there since most my fam is still in Prairieville. Crazy we are not much north of you and temps are average 20 degrees cooler per day and we’re getting more rain than usual this time of year. Probably the mildest summer in Middle TN since I moved here in 2002

If you live in Louisiana then you know how to handle the heat. Take a swim or a cool shower. Sit in front of a fan. Use the air conditioner. Drink a cold beer. Tell the wife to make you a sandwich for supper instead of heating up the kitchen with the stove. Repeat each day until a cold front comes through.

Desert? No more like take a hot shower and stay in the bathroom all day. I’d take a desert dry heat over the soupy heat all day.

I’m in Washington state this week on Whidbey Island, just got back from checking the dungenuss crab pots, going to have a boil in a little bit. High today is 76, and there’s a nice breeze.

Other than a couple of days in the next two weeks, and barring any tropical surprises, it appears that we will continue to see mostly 100°+ highs to almost finish out the month!
