Tulane pulled multiple scholarships from incoming freshmen posting “racist” and “insensitive” IG and tik-tok videos taking shots at Asians regarding Covid. Some of these kids today need to chill out on social media.

I find the outrage over doxxing fascinating. Over the past 25 years or so, true internet anonymity has all but disappeared. However, it seems like more and more people take anonymity for granted. We have been hearing “social media posts never disappear” for 10 years now, yet people post stuff that they would never say in public, even on accounts which include their picture and full name.
I don’t support ruining the lives of teenagers for being stupid - I was a pretty stupid teenager myself. But a lot of folks (adults included) need to wise up to the fact that the right to privacy on the internet is a myth nowadays.

Agree, but when did society collectively decide that parenting no longer applied to the internet? The only reason this kind of shite didn’t happen 15 years ago is that kids didn’t have 24/7 access to high speed internet. Kids have adapted to technology, but parents have not.
