I agree with the premise but guns and drugs intended uses are deleterious. Human beings are all born good, IMO

Because a person addicted to drugs is 100x's more likely to abuse a gun and use it for the wrong reasons than a sober person who uses it for protection, hunting, etc.

Drugs being used destroys a community.
Guns being used also destroys a community.
Here is the difference, law abiding people can buy guns and not use them so just owning a gun for protection does no harm.
However prople that buy drugs aren't law abiding citizens; furthermore, who buys drugs and doesn't use them? Sellers? Who else?

i think that article supports my point. people in shitty situations turn to drugs and drugs rarely take people who live a good, happy life and turn them into addicts.
