How is HBO Now delivered? Right away?

I keep getting redirected to articles on pricing.
We don't have cable, my wife and I love Game of Thrones.
If we order HBO Now, is GoT shown real time or is there a delay like for Amazon series like Walking Dead where you have to wait a day to purchase it?
Am posting here instead of the tv forum since I just need a quick answer.

It starts to air like a minute after the television broadcast starts

Everything I have read was that live broadcast (real live, like boxing) are a day or two after
Television series start a few minutes after they start on live TV

Shows are typically posted no later than an hour after airing. Often they go live simultaneously.

On hboGo, the shows are instant unless it is a live show. Last Week Tonight is a few hours later because it is either recorded that day or live
