Was using ski tracks app today and hit this on the last run when I was tired and straightlined it. I was going pretty damn fast, but it seems a little high. Anyone hit speeds like this before? On another run I hit 71

I can't tell you how fast but it was unintentional, way too fast and it was at Mary Jane in maybe 1998. I was always more of a relaxed blue run , work on having good form guy. Or if I was feeling adventurous maybe I'd take on some moguls.

We used a handheld GPS one time and got up to 45-50 mph

80 mph seems a bit high for an amateur

Yeah that's what I thought, so I took a friends phone and went on a run to compare the apps on both phones. For top speed on the run, his said 56 mine said 50. So it probably is a little inaccurate

The best super g skiers in the world strive to reach 80 mph on the Birds of Prey world cup run at Beaver Creek. you did not go 81 mph lol. You were probably in the 40s.

So you hit the same speed that Olympic Skiers do in the Super G? Sounds plausible.
