On a grass field or turf? On grass I could hit 200-300 meters (that's ~1300-1400 feet) with an aluminum bat, could go a little further with a wooden bat. Was recruited by the Reds junior year of high school but went to get my PETE degree instead.

I hit an ASA softball, which is a bean bag compared to a baseball, 330ft 3 times last night. I put 3 of them off the center field fence and couldn't manage to get one over.
I have hit a baseball 400+ several times before, but it's been a long time.

When I was in high school, crowds would gather to watch me take BP. Could crush it consistent if not better than most big leaguers. I could just never get the vision to recognize different pitches. I got many offers to become a professional softball player due to my stroke and even a few college offers based solely on that but started having shoulder issues and just didn't have the drive.

Need at team to play on? We could use another power hitter

It is, 300 at the corners and 330 in center. I could get them over before we went to the new ball. Since going to a softer ball, I've yet to get one over and very rarely see anyone else get one.
In fact the only guy I've seen hit one over in the last year played for Stanford.

No, those smaller fields don't allow HR's. It counts as an out. I use a different bat for them that I can place hit better with.

I haven't played in over 10 years, but I'm in similar/same shape now. Back then I got to face a former minor league guy in an adult league recreational game and took him for a nice ride. That one (my last) was definitely over 400 but with an aluminum bat. I would guess that the guy was throwing mid-high 80s.

Fun fact: My team was TERRIBLE. Multiple people that never even played baseball before. So that meant I had to pitch a lot, even though I was never a great pitcher. In a scrimmage against some local kids they knew, I ended up giving up NUMEROUS moonshots to some local kids that were in the minors. Massive shots. Loud. And they were using wood.

Well. My bat and hand speed is such that if a got a 90 mph fastball at the belt I could drive it about 350 tops with a wooden bat. Maybe 390 with aluminum. No problem.

Hit one over the fence around the power alley in HS. It was around 365'. My younger brother jacked one in a legion game to dead center at the old SPAR stadium in S'port.

Metal bat, 380ish. Wooden bat, not very far.

According to Jim Hawthorne, it would be a deep fly ball to center but in reality probably wouldn't get out of the infield

Whatever the power alley was in old Alex Box, plus over. Always hit best against Belaire.
