How easy do you sleep on long flights (+10 hrs)?

I’m not talking 1st class but the usual economy seat.
Alcohol? Sleeping pills? Neck pillow?

Alcohol and Klonipin will do the trick. I would at least upgrade to economy comfort though.

Nobody on the OT sits in economy I don't think.

I had to fly business to Nigeria pretty regularly back a few years ago. Perfectly flat awesome seats. Even with Tylenol PM, red wine, and a steak dinner I can't sleep for shite on a flight.

I try so hard to sleep on flights and have yet to be able to do it

If I take a long flight I'm in first class and generally with a lay down bed. I have important shite to do when I land.

I think it is because of my sleep apnea that I am always tired, so the one and only benefit is that I can fall asleep as a passenger on cars, planes, or trains pretty easily.
On a 10 hour flight, I usually watch two movies, sleep three or four hours, watch another movie and take another nap. I haven't had jet lag in years.

just start a post your pic thread on OT. You'll be off the flight in a jippy.

The only way that I can have any chance of sleeping is to put a bag or something on my tray table and sleep like you would if you were sleeping in class. The eye mask and ear plugs are essential. Overall, I'm lucky if I can get any sleep at all and it absolutely sucks. My wife falls asleep immediately and arrives feeling pretty good while I'm a zombie.

My formula us a melatonin gummy and a glass of wine. I figured out out talking his cute British girl on the way to London. Couldn't keep my damn eyes open.

melatonin
I had a boss argue with me in front of the rest of our team, in the middle of an official meeting with other departments, that melatonin doesn't work. He argued that it's all mental and in your head.
I was floored that he would not only bring that up but actually argue about it in that setting so I just shut up and let him show his arse. Gotta pick your battles.

I don't. At all.
I've taken sleeping pills, including prescription ones: nothing.
I just can't sleep on a plane in economy.

When I traveled, I slept better on airplanes than I do at home.

Hmm the hormone your body produces in order to induce sleep doesn't work. Bold position to take.

I can sleep on planes only if I'm really tired.
However, I've never had to pee on one. I flew from Chicago to Munich and never had the urge once.
