I’m kicking myself for not buying a LC years ago. As I’ve gotten older all I care about is reliability now.

Me too.. I’ve been waiting a white LC Heritage Edition but they’re just too damn pricey.

I love cars, and I love driving.

I'll never own a Toyota, but I recommend them when the situation warrants.

I completely get that side of Toyota with making appliance-like autos.

But I will say when they want, Toyota/Lexus can certainly deliver.

IMO the LFA is in the Top 5 exhaust notes ever created along with the Carrera GT.

The Toyota love of this place is creepy.

I say this as a current 4Runner owner, and I have owned two now.

My 99 4Runner had electrical gremlins, 2017 Xreas went out around 60,000 miles.

They seem to rely on loud, repetitive, obnoxious ads to a much greater extent than the other manufacturers.

That's actually the new 4Runner, which sits on a "ladder" frame, just like a truck.

It's actually a Sequoia built on a Tundra chassis. 4Runner is built on the Tacoma chassis.

I love toyota. I own two. 4runner and a Camry. They are both not the current gen at this time though.

I love my older 4 runner. V6 naturally aspirated ,rear wheel drive . truck chassis and Made in Japan.

Newer gen yota's have some common problems of first year cars of a new generation that have to have the kinks worked out but then you in combination that some of them now being built in Mexico (think thats the new tacoma's but im not positive)

If I had the choice, i wouldnt buy one of their cars from the plant in mexico..A Toyota made in mexico is just NOT going to be manufactured to the same standard as one from the Japan in my opinion.

That’s very unusual for a 4Runner & don’t know what Xreas is.

Flying back from visiting my son in Japan, I sat next to an American who works for Mitsubishi as an engineer. He said most Japanese companies send their senior employees to work in the U.S. for 3 years.....the max their visas remain valid. Their goal being to learn as much as they can about America & Americans .He also added that many want to stay because they enjoy more "freedom", society-wise.

Agreed, but get the 2023 GX with the naturally aspirated, tried and true V8.

My next vehicle.

I actually got a call from a local Toyota dealer this week.

"Hi Mr. Tyger, our records show you have a Toyota Tundra with the 5.7 liter V8 gas guzzling engine. I'm excited to offer you an incredible deal on a trade in package we are running. We can give you top dollar for that old 2020 and put you in a new Tundra for a super low price!"

I told the guy "I bought the truck in January and specifically bought a model with the 5.7 liter V8 engine because I don't want that shitty V6. I wouldn't trade in my truck if you offered me an even swap."

I also bought a 2020 Tundra a couple of months back because that fricker is going to last longer than I'll be alive.

That might be the Tundra chassis

Which basically became a car in 2022 with the introduction of the 3rg generation Tundra.
