Well I went to Jesuit but I would put most of the catholic schools in Nola right up there with Franklin. Being the best public school is like being the coolest kid at band camp

It's a great school but it isn't like it's an open door admission policy. Every kid who steps foot on that campus has already demonstrated an incredibly high cognitive ability.

SJW heaven. Last year a white male teacher got run off for starting conversation about Why people accept n word in rap songs but no where else. Black student goes off on video m-f ing the teacher and slamming and screaming. Student becomes hero teacher fired. These kids think Bernie Sanders would be great if only he were Muslim. Clinton is too conservative and Bernie is Jewish so they are disqualified!

They are also ground 0 for creating extreme liberals and SJW’s. The shite going on at the campus today is embarrassing.

Downvoters go check out their school newspaper which is riddled with bashing Christmas, creating a Godless campus and inferring white people cheat and plagiarize from black people.

Won't even get into the gender crap

Ben Franklin has a sliding scale for admissions.

75 percentile IQ and 4.0 GPA to 99 percentile IQ and 2.0 GPA.

Once students are there, they have to maintain their GPA or they are out.

Baton Rouge Magnet only requires a 2.5 GPA and 50th percentile IQ to get in, then students have to maintain 2.5 GPA to stay.

BRM is about 40% African American, 35% White, 20% Asian, and 5% Hispanic.

In the last year Ben Franklin and BRMHS have combined for more than 1/2 of the perfect ACTs and passing AP scores in all of LA including private schools.

The only private school on par with these on the number of perfect ACT, AP, National Merit, and Presidential scholars is Jesuit.

In a typical year, Ben Franklin, BRM, and Jesuit will each have about 5 perfect ACTs and all of the rest of the schools in LA will have about 5 perfect ACTs combined.

Beware, I am about to make a complete huge over generalization post:

If you are smart and normal/athletic you will go to Jesuit/catholic/brother martins etc and become a doctor, a CEO, etc etc and make alot of money

If you are smart and eclectic, you will go to Ben Franklin/Baton rouge High/etc etc and become a nuclear physicist, artist or college professor and may not make any money but will be happy doing these things

The frick does disadvantaged even mean and what place does it have when talking about a child or student. Everyone has the same tools available to them. Some parents sacrificed and worked hard and their children benefit from that hard work. That doesn’t make someone else disadvantaged. It makes them heirs of laziness and stupid decisions. And for the ones who do strive and become the chain breakers in their family tree even they see exactly what I’m talking about.

5. here's a shocker for most of you, even black kids were top 10. One girl of which went to MIT. And before the whole "she's black", she scored over 32 ACT and 2290 on SAT...meaning her race meant jack shite into her getting in

That is really nothing. With a ACT of 32, race and gender were the KEYS to getting the black girl into MIT.

White girl from a good private school with heterosexual parent with an ACT 32 and National Merit Finalist barely gets a look from top schools unless her resume look incredible...."community work", research projects, etc.

It is all about demographics and filling buckets...look at campus status...Do we need more black women...or Hispanic gay men...or whatever. Gotta fill the buckets to keep the Fed funding/loan $$$ rolling in. The color of your sink and the your sexuality is more important than what is between your ears.

They probably have some screwed grading system for minorities to get better grades without actually earning them...basically like the hiring practices of the federal government
