Sorry, I thought you were referencing objectivity and accuracy of information reported, not news entertainment personalities.

Look at news from left wing news and right wing news and come to your own conclusion
They have some non-biased people reporting the news, but none for the big networks or papers. YouTube has some good independent people who also have websites. It just sucks because most people don't want to spend the time sifting through all the BS to find them.

NBC nightly news at 5:30 is all you need. Occasionally some bias but not bad, check out Reuters in the morning for your morning news read.
Don't pay attention to anything else and you will be fine. There is still journalism out there but true journalism isn't nightly news. It takes months to build a story about something and it isn't a short easy read it will take you 20 minutes to read it. Here is one story that I find interesting

Locally, they had been calm about covid, then the next week, they are trying to cause everyone to panic.
My favorite was doom and gloom, they come back from a commercial, it was all quiet on set, and they announce that Federal Government had ordered another Million body bags. Then it went quiet, and after 5 seconds, they cut to another story about covid. LOL i literally laughed, and said what happened to 1st million, because 800K of them aren''t going to get used.
And for reeelz, i drive by 2 major hospitals in the burbs, and 4 testing stations, and during this whole 3 month ordeal, i have yet to see anyone getting tested. NOT 1, yet i heard about the lines and people not being able to get tested. One testing station is in major population area, and people there are so bored, they stay inside instead of wait outside they they are supposed to.

To be fair, journalism has always been a den of idiocy, inaccuracy, agenda, and the unethical.
The myth is that it is has ever been anything else.
The difference is that the corporate newsmedia acts largely as the "official" narrative driver of "the establishment" or whatever you want to call it.
It is why Trump drives them insane. He regularly calls them on their bullshite. Not that he doesnt have some bullshite of his own.

MSNBC, CNN, FoxNews all do the same thing. Those channels are not the news.
It's just the weaponizing of news to inflame the passions of those that watch those shows to get pissed off.
I haven't watched any of it for the past 2 months.

Journalism has always been kind of icky. It’s all about revenues not the truth. Hell, Yellow Journalism caused a freaking war back in the 1890s. Imagine if that happened today.
When the old newspaper publishers owned lumber they supported retaining wood pulp based paper over farmed weed based paper so cannabis was a financial threat. They threw in some anti-Mexican ethnic based discrimination incited/induced racism. Voila! Illegal cannabis.
Throw in ever since their inception that radio and TV was infiltrated and manipulated by FedGov (JFK papers revealed CIA embedded in TV news organizations) and no one should trust news media to give a straight story.
