The cop is on th motorbike radaring oncoming vehicle while driving at x speed. How is it possible that an oncoming motorcycle at you is reading an accurate measurement when they themselves are moving at x miles an hour towards an object moving towards them at x mph?

The cop points his radar gun at the moving motorcycle and it tells him how fast the motorcycle is going.

Wait until you find out some radars can detect the fastest speed in a group of vehicles, it’s really going to blow your mind

It doesn't. It's a myth. Just like it's a myth that a fighter jet knows the airspeed and vector of another aircraft.

It's already been answered.

The radar knows how fast the cops motorcycle is going. Then using math it calculates the other vehicle's speed.

Do you want me to give you a solved example problem?

how?

wouldn't the path and angles of each vehicle come into play in this wild formula?

eta: and the only answer that suggested that said its a wild guess.
