Several people I grew up with who became doctors did it because they wanted to prove they could do it, not because they sat down and decided they actually wanted to. Know several who did it for the right reasons, but more who were pointed towards it at highschool age as a gauntlet that would validate them as smart.

I am both employed and self-employed. my self employed job is gig based and encompasses nights, weekends, holidays, etc. what is the employed person in that scenario doing when the self-employed person is up working late nights and doesn't get to take off at 4 pm every day? seems like that person is just being irrational, and they should probably sit down and figure out if their goals are headed in the same direction because, from the sound of it, they probably aren't.

These must be the same weirdos in the thread yesterday who dine out a few times a year. Some people really need to get out more. Its a restaurant, not a freaking trip to Aruba. I can't imagine getting mad at such inconsequential shite.
