How Do You Deal with Boring Days at Work?

What's your go to?
I normally do graphic design and copy writing for my job, but today, I volunteered to man the phones at our other office because administrator really wanted to go to this awards ceremony and day drink with all the other people in the company. I don't drink, so it was a no brainer.
The pays the same, but this is boring as all hell. I don't know how she does it day to day. I'm used to being busy from the time I sit down until I go home at the end of the day.
