Im more concerned with the streaming aspect. Say you bring a firestick, hot spotting it tailgating at Tiger stadium will surely make the video buffer right?
Yes, it's going to buffer. Just get a good old fashioned pair of rabbit ears and you'll get the ABC and CBS game before you go into Tiger Stadium. Streaming is a pain in the arse on campus for gamedays.

At my tailgate, I just use an inverter plugged into the outlet in the back of the SUV to power our HDTV. Sort of one like this:
Have to have the key/switch on the vehicle set to accessory to run the inverter, Make sure to turn the radio, automatic ceiling lights and temperature controls to 'off' so they are not drawing power.
I usually charge the phone via this as well (when I'm not on it directing folks to the tailgate).
For tailgating, I'll have driven up from New Orleans to Baton Rouge, so the battery is fully charged when I start up using battery power. I'll start the motor and let it run for 5 minutes or so every couple of hours just to make sure I'm not draining it.
Any music is usually via a stand alone chargeable Bluetooth speaker.
Works okay for me.

Bought a WEN generator 2300/1800 what's for 400 bucks last year. Ran it for 4 days straight a couple of weeks ago. First time I had to use it, but I try and do what the manual says which is crank it every 60 days and let it run for a bit.

The inverter generators are very quiet. Highly recommend even if they cost a little more.

Did the deep cycle marine batteries and an inverter from 2000 - 2005 and got tired of having to charge 2 batteries every week since we would tailgate for 8 - 10 hours. In 2006 I went with a Honda 1000 inverter generator and never looked back. I still have it and it powers two tvs, two direct tv receivers, an amp, a fan, and a couple of outlets people use to recharge phones. I change the oil and clean the filter once a year and have never had an issue. I use non-ethanol gas in it. I figure it has run well over 1000 hours at tailgates and was well worth the $650 I paid for it back then. Today, I'd get the Honda 2000 because anything that pulls heat (crock pot at a tailgate) uses a lot of power.

I use a portable battery charger to keep my phone charged.

Custom built. I use a trickle charger for maintaining car batteries to recharge it.

we don't have a lot of electronics. manly just a radio with bluetooth. when we do bring something like a tv, we bring a small portable generator.
