My red wings Iron Rangers are my favorite pair of boots to be in for a long period of time. I have a few western style boots but they are no where’s near as comfortable as the lace ups.

The camps people fall into on these topics are amusing.

You have people who will wear cowboy boots 24/7 with tight wranglers, or wear steel toe, jeans or carhartt in the summertime on job sites, but then act like wearing a tie and some Allen Edmonds for a couple hours is going to kill them.

I didn’t read through this entire thread yet but cowboys wear cowboy boots because it’s their profession. Anyone else is simply wearing western boots

Since I have gotten so used to work boots, those dress boots feel like very light slippers when I wear them.

My dress boots all have a taller heal more than a roper style boot and make my back hurt. Church and weddings..not mine... are about the only time I wear them anymore.

I’ve always thought that if you’ve never ridden a horse that cowboy boots shouldn’t be your boot selection

Nothing better than a pair of Ostrich Boots with a 1.5" heel

No worse than most of the population wearing athletic shoes while also being fat

I might be fat but I know how to saddle and ride a horse and wrangle some cattle

I saw lots of whores on campus Saturday wearing white cowboy boots

White boot sloots were all over Houston rodeo this year. I wonder which influencer put out the word that white boots were part of the uniform this year.

Its some kind of parallel cultural appropriation.

Completely disagree. A good fitting pair of cowboy boots are some of the most comfortable things you can put on your feet.

This is just a lie you tell yourself.

I wear suits 200 days a year, the top button on the shirt is always buttoned and my tie is always snug. I am used to it and perfectly "comfortable" wearing them but when I get home and change into shorts and a T-shirt there is zero point in me trying to convince myself the suit is just as comfortable.

it’s simply what I know. “Cowboy” is a literal profession

I grew up with cows, horses and riding tractors. I have a few pair of boots but I mostly wear boat shoes and I can't sail worth a shite I'm sure

You should’ve seen the absolute hell that was raised when my former company tried to make all field employees wear lace up steel toes
