Upon re-reading, it's likely the $84.5M is to build all the way to Airline Not sure if it's just "Phase 1" in this part.

But that brings up the next item... WTF are they doing building a connector road (Phase 2) directly next to the existing, moderately used, traffic-light-free connector road?

People forget that Landrieu concrete provided all the cement for the new airport road. Yes you read that correctly.

Well - Landrieu Concrete doesn't sell cement - they sell concrete. They buy cement to make the concrete. And they are not Landrieu Concrete or LCCI any more. They are owned by Quickrete.

Rest in pockets of contractors and cronies

Does it have to be controlled access for the Phase 2 section though?

I get it for shuttles to go in and out of the terminal area, but down that connector road to the parking lot does not need to be controlled at all

Your suggesting is uncontrolled to enter the active airfield?

That's bold.

There isnt enough land to build a road from the exit of the terminal to Glaser Road.

They SHOULD build a train between the two terminals and reopen the old D terminal . It was built brand new after Katrina.

Two things about Tigerdroppings. You can't say Cement when you mean concrete you can't call a magazine a clip. Those two things trigger so many.
Though everyone knows what you mean when you use any term.

BTW, there’s already a road where they are talking about building the new road. WTF

Goes all the way down to the old terminal.

LCCI was formed by Mitch’s cousin while he’s in office. Mitch announces a new airport. LCCI wins the contract despite being a new and relatively small, unknown company, in large part because it’s female owned and I suspect there are metrics to meet for city contracts. Build airport, and now cash out in sale to quickCrete. Another rich Landrieu.

Tale as old as time in our corrupt state.

That project was run like it was inside Orleans Parish. 36% minority participation (MIN). That vast majority of which literally did no work; they were pass through companies.
