Children dying in your worldview is just a meat bag going offline. Decomposing into the earth which will eventually be destroyed when the sun explodes as the universe dies a slow death a trillion years from now. Nothing, and nobody will be here and everything you worried about will be quite literally for nothing.
Hey you’re getting it

quote:
Therefore, from your point of view, there is literally and objectively nothing wrong with a child dying from cancer.
Well, death is natural and there is nothing wrong with it. It comes for us all. It absolutely is tragic and depressing as hell when a child dies and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.
quote:
All arguments you have for pointing out "the problem of evil" are comical because you have no standard to point to as to what evil is.
I have your standard to go off of.
quote:
Don't straw man this as saying "You don't have morality." I am sure you have a moral compass, all humans do. We are born with it.
Absolutely. All religion does is try to teach people to live a moral life and be good to others. That is a good message. Saying there is some omnipresent being that controls everything is just silly.
quote:
Your problem is in your point of view in 1 trillion years everything you believe will literally amount to NOTHING which means it's irrational for you to have a problem with children dying of cancer. It's just a meat bag meeting their inevitable nihilist ending.
Well, nothing does matter. We are here for a finite time. Live your life, be good, and live like it’s your only life. Because it is.
You don’t need a god to tell you that

Somebody's skipped Archeology 201 again

If there is no God, then you have nothing to complain about.
Such a lazy argument. I don't need "God" to feel empathy. Suffering, pain, loss is something every human has experienced at some point in their life. It doesn't take the existence of a sky fairy to make it matter to me.

I’m sorry, but I don’t buy into the “well god must’ve done it” theory either if the math says it’s almost impossible. The math and science certainly aren’t on the side that says that god, heaven, and his creating earth are possible but plenty of folks believe that as well.
Yep.

. I need an example of a change of kind. Example feline kind: house cat, Tiger, lion, mountain lion.
As I already said, evolution doesn't say one "kind" changes to another, period. Much less so in observable time frame. So you repeatedly asking for it is stupid and proves nothing.
Your asking for an example of something that evolution doesn't even claim exists.

What a great coincidence that the "science" that "disproves" God can never be tested, experimented, proven.

What? Are you saying a house cat, a tiger, a lion, a mountain lion suggest a 'change of kind' but New Zealand wrens, African broadbills, reed warblers, mockingbirds, and cardinals don't? Or do you want the delineation of an entire clade?
I think he's saying that they're all cats and therefore don't suggest a kind of change. He's wanting an example of "Ape-like being X" turned into humans.

Is this what you think evolution is?

You’re a fricking flat earther

The amount of crossover between flat earth freaks and religious nuts is honesty hilarious

Or optimism, hope, happiness, etc.
Your limbic system, endocrine system and both of their hormones and neurotransmitters do that for you.
The bigger question to me is....why? Why this apparatus? Why the emotion? Why this design of human experience?
I need God to answer. May not be the one taught in Christianity. May not be just one. But it ain't Darwin. He did a great job explaining the longitudinal tracing of humans but did not explain the cross-section of human experience and why.
Sensing Darwin did not dance on tables enough.

He knew it had to be this way. You'll never be comfortable with your atheism. You'll continue to have to speak out. Your argument is not really with us. In the end, it makes it more real when you realize that Jesus Christ is the logical choice. He knew it had to be this way. And the Pauls are more outspoken having been Sauls before. We will see for you. Keep looking.

So far for my change of kind question I have been given:
A passerine bird becoming a passerine bird.
An antelope becoming an antelope.
Yeah, that is not a change of kind.
Any evolution religion people care to give another example?

My question still stands. I was being coy (or I guess flippant. Or jocular. Or Koi Boi) re defined term. So, what is modern Christianity?
Eta: and touché re the grammar. Here’s a rarity on TD: you nailed me on that one.
