A world wide flood would account for a lot of the aging process. Basically would "age" the Earth millions of years in weeks. There is evidence all over the earth that supports this but people want to ignore it.
Evolution within a species , sure. Thousands of years of that would have drastic changes to every species, especially those that became isolated. All life evolving from a slimy fish that crawled out of the water, no chance. That'd be like a tornado blowing through a junk yard and leaving behind a fully functional F-14 jet. Impossible. Except that would be a million times more likely than life "accidentally" happening.

If there is no God, then you have nothing to complain about. Children dying in your worldview is just a meat bag going offline. Decomposing into the earth which will eventually be destroyed when the sun explodes as the universe dies a slow death a trillion years from now. Nothing, and nobody will be here and everything you worried about will be quite literally for nothing.
