I used to belong to Tigerroar.com, that started charging (now $48/yr I see), but never upgraded their site. It looks stuck in 1998. Searching for an alternative, I came across T'droppings, imo the best LSU fan site.
My story to the word.

Google search LSU football.
This site has been complete hell on my productivity.

It continued for weeks. Can't tell you how strange that all was.

I think it was an initiation for everybody joining during that period of time.

And so did your dad.
I started this shite in 2005 and it still pisses me off when I see other people using it.
I was pulling out of your grandmother the other day and lamenting this fact.

This chick I was banging came over one night and she happened to have a tigerdroppings decal on the back glass of her car. I looked it up and have been here since. Never knew her screenname though.

Searched LSU sports web sites

When Cam was at Auburn, an article on the AJC website about the controversy surrounding him had a comment that led me to the ATPB thread. I started showing my wife (no pix) some memes that were posted here, and after a while, she joined, too. Most of our conversations now include stuff we've picked up here. :)

I think it was in 2003, I was searching for LSU gossip. After lurking, I finally registered in 2004. Wasn't long before I was addicted to the OT.

Was on Tiger Roar's free site and Chicken came on talking about a new board he had just started, trying to get people to try it out. Liked it better than Tiger Roar and been here ever since.

Am I the only person who found this place because the url was chalked all over the quad?

The good Ole Lee/Jefferson qb threads were epic. Hell we LSU fans had to vent somewhere. I stumbled into the OT early 2010

It was exactly what I was looking for and then there was this side group back then that used to talk about all these meet ups at brightside b&g and i think there was even a softball team. It was like a big happy yet dysfuctional family and I was hooked on their drama plus all the LSU football gossip.

I worked for a high profile development that was in the news a lot. Saw an article that linked to the OT and the rest is history.

Well said and I totally agree.
I miss some of the old posters that made this place what it is today. Too many to mention, but each one brought something different to this place. I was out of the country a lot in the early years and internet in some places was worse than dial up, but it was still worth waiting 5 minutes for a page to load just to feel close to LSU & BTR again.

So many just couldn't handle the spotlight as well as you have.
