I caught mine when she got pregnant while we was "taking a break". Apparently taking a break doesn't mean taking a break from the dick. Who knew

After 4 years of marriage, got hit with a 'I want a divorce' out of nowhere. She started acting irrationally after that and moved out 2 weeks later. She was re-married within three months so I put two and two together.

i gave her an STD that i got from some girl at work, but she never confronted me about it. figured it probably meant that she thought she caught it from whoring around on me, so i dumped her arse.

74% of men and 68% of women would have an affair if it was assured they could not get caught.
And that's at the time they were questioned. EVERYBODY goes through phases. If you ever think your wife hasn't or won't, you're wrong. Doesn't mean she will. The opportunity has to be there, and women are generally more risk averse than men. But more educated women with their own money are much more likely to do it since they are not as dependent on hubbie. Like I said, I hear shite from people that never makes it public. MOST affairs are handled in private and even close friends and family never hear. Many if not most couples work through them.
I've said it before and I'll say it again...I my wife getting dicked by someone else is the WORST thing that ever happens in my life, I will take it. There are far bigger things to worry about. And I'm not so insecure that it's even bother me that much. Main thing I'd be pissed about is all the pussy I've passed up over the years. shite if I could get a binding deal with the universe that her banging some dude would be the absolute worst thing ever in my life and my kids and grandkids would grow to an old age healthy and happen...I'd hold her damn legs apart and towel his damn forehead if he got sweaty.

I don't understand people marrying young anymore. 18-25 are your most formative years mentally, what you want in a spouse goes 180 degrees in that 7 years. Speaking from experience. i broke up with a long time girlfriend because of this reason. When we started dating (19) we were in love and I couldn't imagine ever loving anyone else. Fast forward three years and we couldn't imagine marrying each other and the thought of it literally sickened me.
Young marriages are just asking for trouble.

agreed! I was in the military. Young military people tend to think they are a little more "grown up" than they actually are. Plus the military incentivized marriage through pay raises and housing benefits. At the time you do not recognize the potential pitfalls because you are young, dumb, and invincible.

I've never read so many posts in a thread before. I have a headache now. Oh, and women suck!

I found out when I came home from work on a Wednesday and there was a note attached to the front door of the house, "I'm tired of living for everyone else, I want to live for me". Puzzled by the text, I opened the door to my home that I left 11 hours earlier to go to work, and found an almost completely unfurnished home, and would later find an empty bank account.
When I went searching for her at her parents house, they told me she had been seeing an old boyfriend from high school for a while. :devastated:

I agree that many people who marry young do end up splitting up. But why is that so? Historically speaking, people have always married young. Look back through the centuries and you'll see that in the past before divorce rates started going up, more people married young in the past than they do now. So that leaves one question... What's changed?
