Weird thoughts of how animals came to be. I understand evolution when it comes to species progression, but what is the origin, and how did the process of reproduction come about to further the species?

Shorthand = Which came first, the mama bear or the baby bear? And when did Papa bear make his appearance?

Your question is why macro evolution is a philosophy and is not science based.

The Bible goes into great detail in explaining how the first humans were created. I imagine most animals were created the same way

Some reptiles are abandoned at birth. I would guess that evolution has lead to the need to have mothers raise the babies to help ensure the survival of the species.

Baby chicks under the right conditions don't need a mother. Asong as they have access to feed and warmth, they could survive.

That's all I got but I am not currently stoned.

I asked my 3 year old daughter one time what came first the chicken or the egg. Without hesitation she said the egg. I asked her where the egg came from and she immediately said “a duck”.

Instincts are powerful. Somewhere deep inside your brain is an evolutionary link to single celled organisms.

The first mama bird was not necessarily a loving mother. Like the cuckoo bird, it might have laid its eggs in a primordial bird/reptilian nest and took off. The resulting offspring survived and became modern day birds.

Warmth comes from other chicks on the nest; food comes from the eggs that didn't hatch healthy chicks. Whatever the avian equivalent of a cannibal is, it's still happening today.

There was no "first" baby bird. In evolutionary theory, from generation to generation there is no discernable difference., i.e. the differences are so subtle that you can't tell when changes happen. Only over extremely long periods of time can you compare the organism to what it used to be. It's a copy of a copy of a copy, and those that reproduce/survive most are copied the most.

Actually the Bible does not go into great detail into the how of creation. It explains the who and the why.

Dear humans,

You will never know the answer to this question.
