I always pictured some little old lady that decides to get out at 3pm and goes 30mph which leads to everything backing up - that is my theory!

It is henry ford's fault for inventing the Model T.

All downhill from there

You guys don't vote for politicians that believe in investing in infrastructure.

Look at your governor. Look at your mayor. No plans to invest in the future.

Same for schools. Same for airports. Louisiana will fall further behind. Sad.

It isnt that bad. People say the same thing in every city.

I will say that the Washington St. Exit needs to be removed.

I will never forget when LSU opened back up after Katrina. It took me an hour to get from Brightside to campus!!

Can you imagine the Economic harm that would come from demolishing the Washington street exit though?

Become terrible? It's not like this is a new problem. It was a clusterfrick 15 years ago when I used to lived there. My commute from from Denham to LSU and OLOL took at least 45 minutes.

Certainly not an original topic...but, PERMANENT SOLUTIONS seem to never reach beyond the "normal" multi-million dollar study...LOL
What's missing is a strong regional transit authority. An agency w/o political cronyism, manned by transportation professionals, educated "leaders" and visionaries ! Give them the authority to build/improve the system...NOT politicians, developers and self serving business entities !
In short, with such a system in place, growth/development would be "directed" to areas most able handle increased traffic etc. there would NEVER have been an interstate bridge with a one lane exit ! They "assist" the new strip mall, super walmart etc. as to where best to build, where to build a loop, feeder roads and public transportation.

Look no further than the quaint business district under the Perkins overpass. You can't get from point A to point B but hey we can get all nostalgic and go-to a barbershop?.
