I have a coulee to the east and west of me, so I think its pretty common.

I think it's more common than couyon.

I don't think it is a Cajun term. I think it is an old term that doesn't get used much anymore.

I have heard that term used only in Lafayette and surrounding areas….very commonly used in that area, though.

When I lived in Lafayette in the 70s, Coulee Mine was right outside my apartment. I'd never heard the term before or since.

We spent many a time climbing in & out of Coulee Mine to retrieve footballs that landed in there.

It is the same meaning as covfefe. Which means Alabama’s football program is dropping like Enron stock.

Always heard it associated with your mom, but I never really understood what the old cajun men at the bar were talking about.
