Some girl I wanted to frick was obsessed with that movie bc she thought it so romantic. So naturally I bought her flowers just like Harry did in the movie. She thought it was creepy cringe when I did it. Which it was, but hey I’m just trying to give you what you say you want so I could get what I want.

Because he wrote and recorded "The Happy Elf," which became an animated movie and then a stage play.
It's the worst Christmas song ever:
The happy elf
I'm the happy elf
I'm the happy elf and I just might stop on by
The happy elf
I'm the happy elf
I'm the happy elf and I just might stop on by
I'm Santa's spy!

I saw him perform just prior to the pandemic at the St Augustine amphitheater. It was a great show. He seems to very much enjoy performing. I appreciate the fact that he stays dedicated to his style of music.

Connick has branched out into other sections of entertainment, including acting and he also had a talk show.
I would say he's been more an actor/entertainer than a musician the last 15 years.
He's also older than those two.

Timing. He is great. I've seen him in concert and he is supremely talented.
Interesting you use the word timing since that is what he uses to trick his audience when he is feeling it at the piano. I love it when he slips in a 5/4 bar and the majority of the audience starts clapping on the wrong beats then he slips another one in and gets them back on the correct beats.

His New Orleans accent is WAY too fake.

He was heavily promoted in the 90s especially the early 90s. He had some albums that were promoted and there was the swing music revival in the 90s. The Varsity used to have Swing dance and music nights. Of course they used to have Disco nights in the 90s also.
Used to be fun to know people who worked at the Varsity who used to let you in for free for bands that didn't come close to selling out.
I think the 90s alternative boom is what stalled his music career. He just never got that big and for some reason chicks really took to Buble. Harry tried to branch out into New Orleans funk but it didn't take.
He should be bigger now, but Buble embraced the genre more fully than Harry.

I like his music and his style. Very talented actor and musician. Ya'll just don't like his music which is classic. Screw rap & get off my bitching mudder effin lawn!

Because he's a Not very good Frank Sinatra impressionist. He's not close to being great.

He's a rich Uptown Jesuit boy but he tries to sound like a 50's era Ninth Warder - and it comes off as extremely FAKE.

Well, it would be difficult to become “Paclido” much less Placido Domingo.
The real answer is his genre of music doesn’t afford that level of fame now.

Kind of sad that style of music isn’t big anymore. Great sound

Compared to the other crooners, they can’t touch him musically on an instrument. He’s a very talented jazz musician

Because he’s mediocre at best. One of the worst nights of my life was listening to that douche bag talk about and sing “you are my sunshine” for 3 hours. Followed by him and Brett Michaels playing “ sweet home Alabama” at Orpheus 2011.
