Depends which airport. I’ve got pre tsa. If it’s MSY, I’m rolling up about 45 minutes before flight.

Usually an hr- gives time for security, using the restroom, or grabbing food.
I also will make a judgment call depending on what time the inbound flight is supposed to land. If i'm at an outstation like buffalo or baton rouge and see that the inbound is delayed 2 hrs, i know there won't be a plane swap and i'll head to the airport there much later

Depending on the airport and if you have done TSA Pre-check you want to be at the airport anywhere from 1-2 hours before the flight leaves.

I fly out of DFW and on the app they have updated security line wait times. If it’s a business trip I fly carry on and arrive 1 hour before.
Family trip my wife(no pics) freaks if we’re not there 2 hours before.

Those can get expensive since that usually entails grabbing a minimum of 2 drinks per adult.

If I am free and have the time I like to get there a skit a hour and a half before or so because I like to chill and have a beer or 2.

Lol I almost wrote that the downside is that usually means I drop $100 at TGI Friday’s for a shitty lunch and drinks.

At MSY IF you are checking in any luggage then you have 30 mins before boarding time otherwise you'll lose your first class seat. If you aren't checking in any luggage and are TSA Pre-Check & have checked in via the Delta App then 15 to 20 mins before boarding.

It depends on the airport. I fly out of Panama City and Tallahassee a lot. I get there about 45 minutes before departure and still have plenty of time.
I get there about 2 hours early to Denver, Atlanta, DFW, Houston, and other larger airports. Probably too cautious but I have been stuck in security for long periods at those airports.

I rolled up to MSY an hour and a half before my flight last Saturday and still missed my flight even with TSA pre-check as did many others.
MSY is a shite show for parking even everywhere offsite and including short term and long term. Everything was full.

Last couple times I’ve been at DFW I have dropped that much at the Cowboys Lounge. They need a special exception for Sundays to allow alcohol sales earlier in the day.
