Went from sitting in my Uber to sitting on the jet in SJC recently, 11min. With checking a bag.

Today I arrived at OAK at 10:50am and boarded B group at 11:20 for an 11:40 departure

Depends on the airport. Lafayette can be a total shite show in the mornings but out of Baton Rouge I can roll in at the last second

Depends on airport and time of day

But usually I want to walk in front door of airport 45 min before flight

I cant remember the last time it took me longer than 10 min in security at MSY with precheck

Last time I flew out of MSY I scheduled the first flight out when the airport opened. Southwest scheduled 3 flights going out at 6:30am. I got there 1:30min early at 5am.

There was about 250 people in line at Southwest and only one person at the counter. So while in line I canceled my flight and booked one for 8:20, and I was having to run through the terminal to make last call for departure.

3:20 min to make a flight with Southwest out of MSY

I get to the airport 1.5 hours before boarding every time

I don’t like to rush and I don’t trust TSA to keep the line moving

Closest call I’ve had was in Denver. I’ve almost never waited in like anywhere else. Place was just packed.

Depends. If it’s a huge airport like Atlanta with ephed up car rental lots and I have a return then at least 1.5 hours. If not returning a rental, busy time (Monday mornings) about and hour at most (depending on how terrible the security is known to be (MSY is good compared to many). Same if I am just bored on a work trip and the meeting ends early. Small airport with no lines, about 30 minutes and often wonder why I got there that early.
