Is the ramp onto 210 from I10 open? DOTD website shows the 210 ramp being closed

That's the ramps from 210 east onto 10 west and 210 west onto 10 east.

West Houston to BR is a solid 4.5 hours to begin with.

And that's being relatively conservative depending on what time and the traffic you hit leaving Houston.

190 to ragley and up thru DeRidder and across to Livingston and down 59 is the best way. You could also go hwy 96 from jasper to bmont and then west to Houston but truck traffic is sick right now

I usually take 1960 out of Houston, over Lake Houston, through Dayton and Liberty into Beaumont. I then decide if I10 is worth worth it and take either I10 to BR or take the backroads from Beaumont (Vidor exit > HWY 12 to HWY 190).

I’m familiar with that route because during Holiday season going I10 Houston to BR is hell and one accident or construction related traffic jam and you’re better off just taking the 5.5 hour back road route and relaxing.

I do all of this to Beaumont , but damn 10 is never THAT bad for all of that detouring. I decide after the basin if I want to head to 190 because of be.

Anyway we clear? Just go 210 on the way there and back? My mom seems to think 10 is closed from the basin to Texas westbound.
