How large of an issue will it be in the short term political sphere and as an event in our history IYO? Just coming to the OT because the Election board is not exactly thinking straight rn.

It will be big on the short term. I don’t support it at all and I do think a large number of the agitators were plants. Not all though. And it will never really be brought to light. The big money won. It will fade away in time and just be another protest.

depends on the fallout of it.

We won't know for the full extent until laws/rules are changed, people are charged, etc.

Depends on what comes next, if we overreact and over reach on other shite because a crowd of yahoos went nuts at a protest, it could be big. Hopefully it is just a blip and we move on and it fades into remember that one time these dumbasses took over the capital building.

Not big at all. Everyone will be on to the next crisis in a few weeks. The others will be more concerned with whatever Suzy is wearing on Facebook.

Democrats will make it the burning of the Reichstag

To prevent it from happening again they will outlaw guns, free speech, public assembly and eventually Republicans*

*One Dem congressman tonight introduced a bill to expel any Republicans who opposed accepting the electoral vote. So that part's already starting...

Meh, forgotten sooner than you think.

Kamala had pussy hat wearers storm congress during the kavabaw hearings.

We? You think we plays a role here?

We’re beyond the point of return and are moving ever closer to a full blown oligarchy.

“We” doesn’t exist.

To be fair, any member of congress can propose any bill they want to. Doesn’t mean it has any chance of passing. In fact, I’ll bet that congressman knows it would never pass and only introduced it to play to his base. So he can stand in front of a microphone in his predominantly blue area and say, “See, I tried. Please clap.”

it will be remembered for a while. “never let a crisis go to waste”.

they’ll use this to paint conservatives as a threat to the peace.

the shite part is they did it to themselves. they looked like absolute fools today.

Being that it’s never happened before (our own citizens storming the Capitol), I think it’ll be pretty big deal.

It’ll remain a pretty big deal. It’s basically the legacy of a president now.

All the people claiming “concern trolls” were emotional and overreacting were proven wrong in a matter of hours.

Ugly day for America, and as others have said, true conservatism will be the biggest loser.

Shoulda never invited the snake inside.

Not sure, but it got chippy on the House floor minutes ago and apparently there was a physical scuffle Damn CSPAN didn't capture it on cam live due to the angle but there were a bunch of male reps leaving seats to get it under control. Nancy was a bangin' that gavel let me tell ya

Footnote in history.

It accomplished nothing except solidifying the rest of the country against Q followers.

Not many examples of a developed country's legislature building getting overran by a mob. To downplay the significance of this would be foolish.
