How big of a deal is National Honor Society?

My kid pulled a bonehead move and forgot to turn in the application. They wouldn't accept it past the deadline. Do schools care about this anymore? Will he be forced to settle for a school like ULL or Tulane now instead of pulling a scholarship to LSU?

Not being accepted into National Honor Society isn't a big deal.

Failure to perform the simplest of tasks and not being aware of deadlines may be a problem later in life.

I didn't say not being in NHS was the reason he won't get accepted.

Well, he's done for now. I hope he enjoys attending Diesel Driving Academy.

I don't believe it. There's no way you graduated high school.

When it comes to Honor Societies...it is the only one I would mess with...um, I mean the only one with which I would mess...Eff a bunch of city and parish honor societies.
