I'm guessing Dr. Phil is for the "upperclass" demographic and Applebee's is for the "urban" demographic.

I grew up lower middle class. Now, financially, we are upper class but I try to keep most of my values I had growing up on many aspects.

I'm curious about this test. Out of all those restaurants, I've only been to Denny's in the past year, haven't seen a single listed TV show, only one movie, I've worked in a factory, lived in poverty and I had C average friends. Still got a 66. I think, as a previous poster claimed, being in the military skewed my score.
Never mind, I get it now. Made sense after I typed it out.

66. Skewered by growing up an Army brat during the Vietnam era. I am currently upper middle class. I am comfortable with all demographics. Bottom line with people is know your role and be good at it. I prefer good ole boys to 30k millionaires. I loathe the phony house poors that permeate the Mandeville area.

seems about right. i grew up lower middle class but my mom is college educated (teacher, not management) and i'm college educated (Through professional graduate degree) along with my 2 siblings.
some of the choices were false dichotomies, though, like the jimmie johnson question (i identify the name as both)
*ETA: i re-did the survey answering the other way on a few "grey" questions for me and got a 27, so average those out and it's like a 30.5

I highly recommend Charles Murray's book "Coming Apart: The State of White America 1960-2010” which is related to this survey.
We get skewed out of the bubble growing up in the South as to some of the questions but overall I was impressed.
