No crawfish this year. All that mosquito spray after the hurricanes killed them.

It’s actually funny that this is a thing. We were selling wholesale for $1 in March last year the catch was so good. If y’all are paying high prices it ain’t the farmer

Can you buy straight from the farmers? Needing some cheaper crawfish.

You’re always the man in the know about crawfish. Is that mosquito spray really something?

The last time I heard a crawfish man tell me it was a good season may have been 1995 and I’m probably forgetting context.

Pretty much.

In Lafayette I was buying some boiled from DAX on Verot. Well Channel 12 News or something was there interviewing him and I was standing right near the interview and Dax said it wasnt any good due to the weather.

My bro and his son went crawfish my cousin's pond (which he has beautiful crawfish) yesterday. Well the restaurant told him they werent buying til Wednesday. So basically a wasted trip freezing to catch and couldnt sell.

This is a rumor started by big crawfish. I hear it every year. They win with disinformation.

Does it really matter? People will continue to buy crawfish no matter what the price is.

I’m a crawfish farmer we’re getting $3lb out the field. Y’all keep blaming the farmers but yet won’t blame the boil n go’s that buy the crawfish from us and boil and sell them for $8lb. Y’all are crazy to buy at that price maybe y’all should start questioning the boil n go’s.

Exactly..:granted it was Covid and all catering events were cancelled. Last year was a great year to be buying and selling crawfish.

15 years ago I used to eat them 3-4 times a month. Now its 2xs a year unless it's a social boil. After the shell is accounted for they apparently cost $80 per pound of actual meat.

Count me out.
