We're all descended from migrants, even the native Americans walked over here. No one originated from here. So, first world problems. A country the size of the U.S. having less than a half billion people is pretty impressive, actually.

So I should work to pay taxes for other country's citizens to live here for free?

In so few words, frick you

In a world where the only thing that matters are feelings and emotions you would actually have a point.

We don't live in that world, though.

the minor difference you seem to be overlooking is the fact that the segment of the population you are referring to aren’t illegal immigrants.

I'm not overlooking at all. Vast portions of the population read miles below grade level and suck down government assistance. I'm far more interested in solving that problem.

Re: immigration - I say let them in, make them legal, stop letting employers pay them cash to put downward pressure on wages, and collect tax dollars from them.

Christ, every place under the sun is hiring for basic-arse work. Maybe I can go into a restaurant and not have half the tables empty because they don't have enough staff. Maybe Target could open more than one fricking register.

Maybe we could take all the new tax revenue and fill a fricking pothole or repair a bridge.

I don't think anyone has a problem with this method. But in order to "make them legal" in a timely manner, there has to be a system in place that can handle the numbers.

Imagine what this is doing to rent and housing prices in certain areas.

Not to mention there's a larger than neglible number of the aliens that are dangerous. How do we determine who they are and what do we do with them once that is determined?
Bus them back? Who's paying for the busses?

If someone can't see that this is a blatant issue for the tax payer, then they're blind

Depends on what politician you talk to. Either way, neither is going to do shite about it…or do anything at all about anything. Four years after following the last election circus, we’re still stuck here dealing with the same two f’ing baffoons

A Democrat voter response. You have to make it sound like both side are responsible to deflect claim.at your own party. Trump had no issue securing the border and cutting off the migrant caravans.

When I lived in Montgomery they were all over the city. The police in that city won't do a damn thing if the illegal breaks the law. Where I lived in Montgomery was a nice subdivision. One day a drunk illegal side swiped three cars and knocked a telephone pole on top of a new truck that was purchased the day before. About nine people saw the whole thing happen. After the drunk knocked down the pole he went and hid in another house that had illegals. Everybody saw where he went to hide. Cop comes and examines the car. License plate is fake along with the title of the car. Nine different Alabama drivers license's were found in the car. The licenses all had the same picture but different names of the driver. People asked the cop to arrest the drunk driver. The guy who bought his truck the day before was really pissed off. Cop said he couldn't do a thing because he didn't see the drunk illegal behind the wheel of the car, driving.

So seems like no one here has personally seen an impact.

Ive yet to personally seen an impact from the fentanyl crisis, thank God, but I know it's an issue and wish it would/could be stopped.

You anti-American Pinkos are pathetic trying to make a "gotcha" out of your leaders allowing so many illegals in and living on our tax dime.

Sat and Sun grocery stores are packed. they seem to be eating well. where does the money come from. $100 just in meats for 2 adults and 1 kid?. Most of the crummy housing is illegals now. No telling how many live in a house.

With all the illegals coming in & working in the construction industry, other labor dominant industries, the plaintiff bar is rushing to learn Spanish. And are hiring "runners" who have access to the various illegals' communities. Morris Bart's firm is rushing to hire bi-lingual adjusters, who do the large percentage of the firm's legal work. Illegal as that is.

Are you saying republicans can’t do anything at the moment? It seems like this is bipartisan? Maybe some pretending to not want it, but not many.

I know our population is declining, and we need people to collect taxes and front run spending to grow the economy. Part of America success Is always growing. We keep kicking this can down the road.

It’s possible this is a strategy to achieve this, but it seems like we would select the best of the best, unless that is not what they wanted.

sure but i have not noticed an increase in my daily life (anecdotal, i know). cant find more recent numbers but looks like the illegal population has remained roughly the same from 2000 - 2021

I go through Little Rock, Memphis, and Tulsa for work and the amount of “migrants” there is amazing.

Here in Austin, the hospitals are overwhelmed with compassionate patients, as they’re called. Everything from gunshot wound, stabbings to all types of chronic illnesses. Literally thousands of construction jobs are manned by illegals . I don’t see Americans being able to compete!

If anyone don't think migration is a problem I suggest listening to Theo Vonn's podcast titled something like "Border Patrol Agent".

Its actually a half arse serious conversation. Its a recently retired border patrol agent.

Actually here is the podcast video

Youtube

He talks about the evolution of who was coming into the country to who is coming in now.

He was hired under Clinton. Clinton added many more agents and was dedicated to protecting the border. Bush Jr continued upgrading things, especially after 9/11.

He says a wall isn't needed from one side to the other, they have walls in a lot of areas needed which Bush continued to have built after Clinton. Obama actually had the most immigrants deported than any other president out of Clinton, Bush, Trump and Biden. He had pathways built for the agents to get easy access to the walls. Trump kept the evolution of border security going by continuing to build pathways. He had lighting installed on the walls, etc. Biden takes office and it all stopped.

He explains what is going on. Biden is trying to turn Texas into a purple state. When it comes time for the census illegals count towards the population. In summary the goal is to get one more US house of reps district in Texas which is why they have loaded them up in busses and dropped them off in cities like NYC, Chicago, etc.

"thats what you voted for".. What idiot will say this first?

it's crazy that we have an impending depopulation crisis (population has been going down, which is bad for a country's economy due to not having enough workers to support the aging/retired population) and are being overwhelmed at the same time.

we should be accepting more legal immigrants and not allowing illegal immigrants to enter.

I just have one question. If Morris Bart is doing something illegal how come he gets away with it? How come illegals are living in this country and get away with not paying taxes, not being arrested when they break the law? This country is on its last leg and I hope that I'm not around when this country ceases to exist.
