Hopefully they were able to move past that incident in Kansas City. I always enjoy driving up to the park in New Braunfels for the weekend when I'm spending time at my summer home in Sinton, Texas.

Some kid got decapitated last summer, but other than that it’s a swell time.

Can you imagine being the two chicks that had to ride the rest of the way with a headless body in front of them?

We went for Thanksgiving. Very few customers. Water was cold.

I know the story, and I didn't downvote you, but the facility 40 miles south of you operates deep in the black every year.

It's an awesome venue with the moody hotel, aquarium, rainforest, and the golf course attached.

Hopefully they file for bankruptcy at some point.

That kid should have never been killed.

Criminal charges including manslaughter have been filed related to the death of the boy. One of the main folks in the park family was just busted on unrelated charges of meth, Xanax, hooker, etc.

Texas Monthly has a long article about the design of the parks and the killer slide. Worth a read if you have any interest.

Went twice this past summer.

The one in New Braunfuls. Paid once. Someone bought us tickets 2nd time. I’m probably done with Schlitterbaun for a while.

Both times it was over crowded and to put it bluntly they need to raise the ticket price to keep some of the minority and white trash out. I’m more than willing to pay $20-25 extra if the lines were shorter and I didn’t have to see 300lb Bonita in a 1 piece every 20 feet

Right now? Probably slow. People tend to not go to waterparks when it's cold and shite.
