Sometimes numbers are not exact, but so close and so precise that we make them that.
I think that's called a limit?

2 + 3 = 5
6 + 3 = 9
Therefore, when you add 3 to something, you must just flip the number over to get your result.

Mrs smith asked her second grade class to use words in a sentence.
The word that day was before.
Little jeffrey raised his hand, mrs smith called on him, and he said "I brush my teeth before i go to bed"
Very good, jeffrey.
DeQuarious raised his hand. Mrs smith called on him. He said "too plus to be four"

You use a calculator obviously.
Before calculators were invented nobody had a clue what numbers were. This is why calculators were so important, they saved us from thinking an OT 2.5 was as good as an OT 10.
